Explore the Night Sky

For this month’s West Volusia Audubon Meeting / Nature at Night event, join Derek Demeter (@derekthediscoverer), Director of the Emil Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College, for an evening of stargazing. This will take place January 27, 2026 at the Lyonia Environmental Center in Deltona.

Telescopes will be set up for guests to view objects in addition to a laser guided tour of constellations.

This free program is always popular so registration is required via Eventbrite and we recommend that you sign up quickly!

An indoor program will be provided if we have inclement weather. This program is recommended for ages 10 and up. There will be small eats and non-alcoholic beverages provided by The Friends of Lyonia Environmental Center.
