Volusia County Moms was started and is run by Jacqueline Bodnar, a professional writer and blogger who has had over 3,000 articles published in magazines and newspapers around the world. She has ghostwritten seven books for doctors, and is author of the historical fiction novel "Blueberry Steel," "Starting Your Career as a Professional Blogger, and her latest book "Blog for Bucks." She offers professional writing services, having completed thousands of projects for companies locally and around the world.

A Michigan native, she moved to the area in 2006, after spending a decade living in Las Vegas, where she graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Studies (covering psychology, political science, and history), as well as a Master of Professional Writing degree. When she's not writing, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, RV camping, snorkeling the springs, sipping tea, and traveling. She is a Florida Master Naturalist, a nature lover, runner, yogi, and is a meditation mentor. She is a mother of two children who graduated from Spruce Creek High School.
